The popular Star Trek Online massively multiplayer online role playing game has suffered a 63 out of 100 or 6.3 score from Metacritc based on 11 Star Trek Online reviews. If however you through out the single highest score and the single lowest score as biased leaving 9 reviews, the average score moves to a slightly better 66 out of 100 or 6.6.

Cryptic Studios and Atari have released a new high definition video about the new Destiny class starship for the Star Trek Online massively multiplayer online role playing game. This is a tier 5 science vessel that was the result of a ship naming contest. The new Star Trek Online MMORPG starship is so large that it supports a crew of 500 people with 12 available on the bridge.

The Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising massively multiplayer online role playing game has returned from the dead. The Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising MMORPG from Perpetual Entertainment and Sony Online Entertainment was put on a “perpetual hold” in October of 2007. The rights to the game have now been obtained by Heatwave Entertainment.

Heatwave chief executive officer Anthony Castoro said “What we’re going to do is spend the next couple months looking at the game, where it was back then and deciding what things can stay and what things might need to be updated. We might make some changes. Our goal is still to get it out…”.

The Gods and Heroes MMORPG is set in ancient Rome with many mythological creators such as the Minotaur, the Cyclops, Gods, Centaurs, etc. The game was never released after it’s closed beta in October 2006. Check out the below trailer for the original game. It is about 3 minutes long…………..

Red Blood Online is a massively multiplayer online role playing game from Gorilla Banana Entertainment. The Red Blood Online MMORPG is currently in development and is set for a closed beta in the summer. The game features the battle for dominance of a new race created through the manipulation of genes. 4 Countries the Kulitie, Normu, Peiladulia, and Victoria fight for dominance, hire mercenaries, and struggle for power. Random maps are generated automatically which include terrain, traps, puzzles, and more.

Recently Wargaming announced that they will be creating a new free Tank MMORPG called World of Tanks. The World of Tanks MMO will allow for 30 player team PvP battles and have over one hundred and fifty armorded fighting vehicles from the pre World War 2 era and on.

This is such a shame. What a waste. I am a huge Stargate fan and it does not please me to see this company fail so badly.

But we told you so. Making an MMORPG was too hard for Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment and they instead launched a poor excuse for a shooter Stargate Resistance. It is now official. Stargate Worlds is the biggest MMORPG failure in history.

News came today that Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in Arizona…….

We have written before about God of War 3. This is the latest sequel in this single player franchise from Santa Monica Studio and Sony Computer Entertainment. God of War 3 is scheduled for an official release date of March 16, 2010 in North America with Europe and Japan following days after. This game was awared the 2010 Most Anticipated Game at the Spike Video Game Awards.

Hi-Rez and the Global Agenda community is pissed off at a 5.5 out of 10 review by a GameSpot reviewer. Justin Calvert from GameSpot responded to the complaints by pulling the review. The review was then pulled because Global Agenda fans (and Hi-Rez Studios) complained that only 6 hours of game time were logged during the review. Before it was pulled it said: “Global Agenda tries to be both a regular multiplayer shooter and a massively multiplayer online game but isn’t very good at either.”

The worst part is that a new review won’t be out for weeks. But guess what? EuroGamer already gave Global Agenda a 6/10 also saying “….the moment your 20 minutes of tutorials are over, so is the story. The plot abruptly fades away like a pop song, which is handy since if it hung around any longer it might have to explain all those tedious, nit-picky details…”

Meta Critic now has a 6.8 out of 10 for Global Agenda based on 5 reviews.

Below is a really funny video review of Mass Effect 2 from Zero Punctuation at the escapist. It is funny to see the take on the regurgitation of the first game and plot flaws as well as boring parts of the missions. There is no vehicle section and the combat can quickly become repetative. There are definately some sexual undercurrents in the game which is of course why many gamers like it.

Mass Effect 2 is an action RPG from Bioware and Electronic Arts. It features the Unreal Engine 3.5 and is available for Windows PC and Xbox 360. The review video is about 4 minutes long. Check it out below as well as a new high definition gameplay video………….
