Runes of Magic Lands of Despair Chapter 4 HD Trailer Video

Runes of Magic Lands of Despair is the latest update to the free Runes of Magic massively multiplayer online role playing game. This is the fourth chapter of the popular Free MMORPG.

this update will include a triple-class system and an update to 70 for the level cap. There will be new levels and a ton of new content including the Land of Malevolence. Zombies and other gnasty things crawl the town of Kampel.

There are also some creepy clowns in the Moonlight Circus along with other performers. The city of Glimville, castle Grafu, and other new places await.

New monsters including a pet lion and scary clowns will be up for a fight along with wizards. The first section of content will be available in closed beta in April with a release scheduled for summer. Frogster has also been working on a browser and Facebook version.

Below is a really funny video review of the Assassins Creed Brotherhood massively multiplayer online role playing game. The video is about 5 minutes long and points out that although the Assassins Creed Brotherhood MMORPG has several good points to it, it is really Assassins Creed II repackaged. The reviewer affectionately refers to the game as "Ass Creed".

Although the game is funny it quickly gets boring and becomes completely up to chance as to who can randomly spawn closer and more about having others do your killing and earning money than the actual fun parts of the game. The game is in desperate need of a good single player campaign. Check out the video below.......................................

Vindictus Beta Encounters Some Issues & HD Gameplay Video

We have written frequently about the free to play Vindictus massively multiplayer online role playing game. The beta has been live now for about a week and the Vindictus MMORPG has already encountered some serious issues. Updates came through on September 17, 2010 and September 19, 2010 with a large amount of server maintenance both scheduled and unscheduled. Large patches of time were required including over 7 hours.

Darkfall Delays PvE Expansion – No One Surprised

We have written frequently about the repeated failures of Darkfall Online. In this latest case Aventurine has delayed the Player vs Environment expansion that was over-hyped and sold as the solution to all problems.

The outspoken lead developer Tasos Flambouras posted recently that six months of work have only resulted in more instability for the client and the expansion will be delayed indefinitely despite the optimistic quote: "Realistically, we're looking at a few more weeks of work and testing on this. In the meanwhile we'll also use this time to add more features to the expansion and if possible further expand the dungeon update.....We'll give you a new ETA as soon as we have a handle on what exactly is wrong and what needs to be done".

Heroes of Newerth Changes – Open Weekend & HD Trailer

It has been almost two months since the online multiplayer game Heroes of Newerth went into retail. As promised by the developers, they continue to improve the game and to frequently deliver balance changes, new features, new content and more. The next big patch is scheduled for Friday this week. By the words of S2Nome patch 1.0.5 will feature “a TON of gameplay content” and will be “the biggest since release” in terms of additional/ reworked content.

Undoubtedly one of the most thrilling additions is going to be the Gladiator - a new hero based on the famous Kunkka from DotA. As it is considered to be a direct port, the Gladiator is expected to have the exact same skillset as his DotA counterpart. With the inclusion of this hero S2 Games continues their intention of satisfying both the casual and the competitive scenes in Heroes of Newerth. Will the Gladiator become as famous as Kunkka? Everybody is excited, but only time will tell.

On top of that, S2 Games announced really good news for those who do not own a paid account – everyone will be able to log in with their beta account and enjoy some more HoN goodness over the weekend for free, so make sure you have your gaming gear prepared for all the exciting new changes.

Darkfall Online Offers Free Trial 3 Months Too Late

We wrote back in February that Darkfall Online is trying everything to stay alive. This included a too little-too late attempt with a 7 Day Trial for $1. I immediately stated that this offer sucked and it should be free and long.

Fast forward 3 months later and Darkfall Online is doing just that with a free 14 day trial. However, again Darkfall falls short by warning that they will throttle availability and place quotas on accounts from certain countries.

Eve Online: Tyrannis Expansion Delayed Until May 26th

We have written frequently about Eve Online: Tyrannis. CCP Games announced today that the expansion will be delayed for one week until May 26, 2010 and the seeding of Planetary Command Centers will also be delayed until June 8, 2010.

The reason for the delay includes scalability issues, code errors, etc.

The release will also include EVE Gate with EVE Mail, Calendar, and improved contacts.

We wrote yesterday about the World of Warcraft Celestial Steed selling almost 4 million dollars in a day. Suffice to say that some players are not happy with having a flying mount so widely distributed and acquired without first completing any difficult raids or long grueling quest.

Some players are calling it the ruination of the entire game. Blizzard responded by telling everyone to relax.

Nothing shows this point of view better than the video created mocking players who buy the WoW Celestial Steed. Check out the below high definition video. Aion Really Doesn’t Want You Buying Gold (Kinah) – Makes PSA Video

NCsoft and Aion Online really doesn't like gold buying, power leveling, and selling or bots. Early on over 16,000 accounts were banned in Aion Online for similar violations of the Terms of Service.

In fact, NCsoft hates these things so much that they made a campy public service announcement video re-iterating the fact as well as pointing out that your account will most likely be hacked and banned.

We wrote recently about some of the problems with Star Trek Online and many of the sub par reviews it was receiving. The MMORPG.com site added it's voice to the others recently giving the Star Trek Online massively multiplayer role playing game a 6.4 out of 10.

When we last checked in the Metacritic average was 63 out of 100 (6.3). As we predicted the average has increased and now sits at 6.5 or 65 out of 100.

Darkfall Online Trying Everything To Increase Subscriber Numbers

The Darkfall Online massively multiplayer online role playing game from Aventurine is really hurting. They have been pulling out all the stops trying to get more players paying their subscription fees.

Here is a list of some of the latest attempts:

1. New 7 Day Trial for $1. I am not sure why they thought they could not do a free trial but are instead offering a seven day trial for one dollar. There is also a referral fee commission paid to publishers in the hope of bringing in new players. You can sign up for the trial and download the game here

2. In an effort to try and protect new players from shameless gank attacks, a new patch ads a feature called New Player Protection. This feature offers protection against player attacks for the first few hours so they have a chance to learn how to control their character. During this time you can cause no damage except to monsters and no one can damage you. This protection is active in the starting areas only. Unfortunately it also prevents you from using mounts, runestones, teleporting, portals, creating a clan, joining a clan, etc.
