We have written recently about the full Aion Online servers and the added capacity. “We’ve launched our long awaited product Aion and have been pleased and challenged with keeping up with the massive player demand.” said Lance Stites Aion Executive Producer for NCsoft West. Some servers are still increadibly popular and with as many as sixty percent of the subscribers playing at once popular servers are still jammed. To remedy the situation, NCsoft plans to continue adding more servers but has also increased capacity and changed server settings.
What might help even more however is that a server transfer service will come online by the beginning of November. Each player will receive one free serter transfer for a limited time (to the less busy servers). After that the service would most likely have a cost.

To be honest, a transfer service is badly needed. Until the extra capacity came online, some of the login queues for the more popular servers were up at 8-9 hours! The extra servers give more capacity, but with your existing character stuck on a busy and overwhelmed server, you’re out of luck – and nobody wants to grind through the first 20 or so levels again.
