Massive embezzlement in Eve Online is nothing new. Over 100 Billion ISK was embezzled from Dynasty Banking in January.
Now EBANK, the largest play run bank in EVE Online appears to have 200 Billion ISK embezzled from their former Chief Executive Officer Ricdic.
The chariman of EBANK Hexx stated that Ricdic has been banned by CCP games and making the allegations. The loss accounts for almost nine percent of all of EBANK’s deposit funds and is a major loss. Athre has assumed the position of interim CEO coming from director and head teller.

This is what I love about EVE.
It’s such a metaverse. What other game have you seen where these kind of things happen. It’s like a form of social Darwinism, you get to see how people would run corporations and how even online currency becomes a huge commodity.
I wonder if the guy will end up selling the money to some money selling site. If so, that’s big time.
Which also gets me interested about how something like this is essentially cybercrime. I believe in Korea (yeah, go figure), you can actually get jail time if you cause damage to another players account?
I really want to get into EVE but I doubt my computer would handle it all that well. Plus it’s been going on for so long, it’s very daunting, wouldn’t be sure where to start.

@Droogie
Yeah crazy huh? You could start fresh with Jumpgate Evolution when it comes out which is very similar to Eve Online.
