If you thought the Quake Live launch had problems then you should compare it to the launch of the DarkFall Online MMO.
To say the Darkfall launch was a little rocky is an understatement.
There is heavy demand and an apparent lack of stress testing that resulted in massive downtime for the forums, chat, web site, and servers.
When It Rains It Poors: DarkFall Online:
Darkfall pre-orders were so numerouse that there were some problems processing them. This means that the “Launch” is delayed for non pre-orders. You are not able to download the client unless you have a pre-order.
The game has been offline and suffering from heavy lag, innactive accounts, and billing issues. A Darkfall patch is in the works to try and fix this problem. Darkfall Online has also been too busy to update their web site or forums much. Many consider this to be one of the worst executed launches of a MMORPG ever. I am really disapointed at this given my post on how Friggin Awesome Darkfall Online is.
Aventurine apologized for the inconvenience and extended subscribers for an extra three days.

I completely agree. Two weeks after N.A. launch, Darkfall Online is in worse shape than anything in recent history. Worse even than AoC.
Too bad. The game looks promising.
