We have written many times about Darkfall Onlines Bad Luck even to the point where Darkfall seems cursed. Everyone knows about the terrible 2/10 Metacritic review that they received based on the Eurogamer review. The review was challenged and some Nasty words and accusations were exchanged by the Darkfall team. Well now Eurogammer has released a new review largely due to Aventurine winning like little babies. The result? A much improved 4 out of 10. Of course the score still has not updated on Metacritic.

This is bad news for the Darkfall North American Launch.

This quote pretty much sums it up “It’s a game which believes suffering is good for you, in all its forms.”

The review was honest and in depth and pointed some of the obvious faults such as the developers did not really think things through. This time the reviewer played the game for 10 to 20 hours. Like if in a battle you can be killed and all your painfully earned armor or crafted items can be stolen then everyone is just going to play in their underwear. AND THEY DO.
