It looks like the Free Online Hunter’s World MMORPG may have some competition. ‘The Hunter’ is a client based free online hunting game. It is free to hunt deer online and is very realistic 3d hunting at its best. The Hunter was created by Emote and Avalance Studios. You can purchase additional gear and items in an online shop and buy an upgraded subscription (access to more content and items).
The game will eventually feature many types of customizable weapons including bows, rifles, and more. It has started off with only a small selection of weapons. The Hunter is a solo play game that focuses on realistic conditions and tracking including animals that can see, hear, and smell you coming. The game is combined with a social network. Although only four types of animals are initally hunted, more will soon be added.

It’s nice to see a departure for the free-to-play model from the standard MMO. I’ve been playing this one for about a week now, and while I’m no real life hunter, I can only imagine that this is as close to the real thing as it gets.
