ok im downloading it from the regular website and on the download it says MD5 OK but on the update it says 79% and its taking forever please reply

well while it seems stuck in an infinent loop (update goes to 79% then restarts) I did notice the number increasing and the loop speeding up, so thats somthing.
plus it gives me time to know how the game works and such while waiting.

I was a WoW player, but due to lack of $$ and simply boredom from 3+ years of WoW and Cata being boring, I decided to give this a go. Well, the download… SUCKS. It took over 4 days (took breaks here and there so I could actually use my internet connection, lol) and now this update thing is moving at around 1% every 90 seconds. The downloader was roughly downloading at 120KB/S. Not too bad, but still a bit ridiculous.

For free, what can you expect. I just hope it wasn’t a waste of time. >.<

What the fuck is wrong with Runes of Magic client downloaders?! I hope my problem is solved with streaming from BitRaider, but the goddamn downloader is like still on 0.5% after almost 45 minutes of waiting! The estimated time is 3 days, 23 hours, and 57 minutes! What kind of a cheap rip-off is this?

I am seriously losing interest in this game, and if ur advice is correct, I shall do so, well hopefully everything will work out fine…

People are pissed because its taking 3-10 times longer to patch up ( 1gig roughly all up) then to dl’ the actual client. I dl’d mine from my ISP’s free section so unsure of dl speed from actual site. But the patcher’s dl speed is utter puss 25k/s wtf …

fuckin relax people, either stop bitching or get a new computer. my game client downloaded in 20-30 mins and the patches took about the same time, and im runnin on a old laptop :/ if the download is goin slow for you dont even bother playing the game cuzz its gonna run sooo slow and rough lmfao, CPU UPDATE time people. 21 CENTURY!!!!!

What I finaly did to download the game was to

first download the game on an older pc with better internet connection overnight

then transfer the game files to my newer pc and patch it there

Ok I Agree Its rated better than WoW and is free so fair enough download it but again issues with patchin and downloading people have said that theirs has taken over 17 hours AT THE LEAST just to patch at the minuite im still downloading the patches after four hours and expecting longer They should of just put all the 16 patches into one so when you download the client it installs all the updates at once if you already have the latest patch it should scan and only install the patch you need in my opinion the games great graphics amazing interface brilliant Copy of WoW? – Ok Yes Sort off But their is alot of independent features your thinking “wait he hasnt even played the game yet but he knows how good t is?” Ok yes like i said its still downloadin patches but iv been so excited about this game that iv watched over 50+ Videos On it Take My Word For it its a good game its free its multiplayer What MOre Could You Ask For?
All Together Just download it its worth the wait trust me…

K so just FYI, I noticed at the bottom of the launcher beside the language, there’s a little box that says, for example, 3.0.3.2250.en and then it hit me. Those are the patches. Here is a link to the manual patches and some FAQs. DON’T INSTALL THEM, but just look at the patches and figure out where you are approximately. It gave me peace of mind. For the most part. Y’know, besides wanting to punch the company in the face. But I heard it’s a good game, so I’ll give it a try.

EQ 2 has just gone free, FREE!
For those who don’t know, EQ2 has thousands of areas, thousands of skills, No character looks the same as the other, in depth character personalization.
The crafting exceeds any MMo to date with millions of items to craft. seriously, Fuck RoM, Fuck WoW. Time to see why Sony sets the bar for online entertainment, let alone quality.

Well I had this game before and didn’t really like it but I’m bored of all the other games I have so decided to give it another try. It took me a few hours to download and have been patching for an hour and I’m stuck at 79% on the update bar. I don’t get it though, last time I got this game took like 2-3 hours to download and patch. All I have to say is Frogster needs to do something about the time it takes to patch, simply because people take hours to download and then people want to play but no. They have to sit and wait several more hours for the game to patch. This does not make for a enjoyable experience for new players or those who want to give this game a 2nd chance.

well i downloaded an installd it wich cost me 4GB wich is alot of bannwith but i got to the RoM bit n it keeps reseting n startin from 0% i started at 10am my time n now its 2am wtf im so mad anyone know how to fix it ????

i have the exact same problem! it took me over a day to Dl and now the download bar goes to 100% and the update stays at 79 or 80% then the rom downloads then it restarts the download and update then rom again and the same thing over and over! im soon going to give up i have spent way too many hours on this game without even getting to play it!

Omg.. I downloaded ROM.. blah blah, 4 hours
completed. Then when i hit LAUNCH! Then BOOM!
Both updater bars STUCK at 80%,, WTF..

Then after waiting another 6 hours i decided to
Re-install it… Then the same problem occured.
Then i figured.. This game is a piece of shit, and Im like
screw this. Im going back to WOW!!

Its just not worth my time waiting and waiting for nothing..
