EA Sports has announced a new Sports Complex in PlayStation Home. This should be launching in the spring according to EA Sports President Peter Moore. Multiplayer games, leader boards, and more will be included.

1. A Sports Arena – All kinds of fun stuff here.
2. Golf – how many people will try flipping the golf cart?
3. Racing – Race fans rejoice
4. Texas Holdem Poker – This should be a player favorite

Sony Playstation Home has been out for less than a month but already over 3.5 million people have downloaded it. Sony also reports that this free to play game has made them over one million dollars in micro transactions from the sale of furniture, clothing accessories, and other items in the game. These virtual goods sell for anywhere from $0.49 to $4.99.
Sony president Kai Hirai verified the sales figures. more info. This would seem to make Sony Playstation Home a success despite mixed reviews and concerns about the long term sustainability of this virtual world.
I am very pleased by these sales number as it means it is now worth Sony’s time and they will continue to improve the product.

wow, i cant wait till the EA Sports Complex gets released in Europe, right now its March so lets hope they keep their word as promised.
