Despite some terrible decisions and pricing mistakes, many problems with gameplay, and lackluster reviews the Star Trek Online massively multiplayer online role playing game from Cryptic Studios has announced they have passed 100,000 subscribers.
Jack Emmert from Cryptic Studio’s confirmed that STO now has “well over 100K subscribers”. In the mean time they are hard at working improving the Star Trek Online MMORPG with the words “What the players want, we’re going to give it to them”.
Executive Producer Craig Zinkievich commented on the recent 90 days free STO that enraged current subscribers:
“Mistakes were made, facepalms ensued. Going forward there are going to be promotions, part of this is running a business and getting new subscribers and getting box sales but the most important part of this is our current subscribers. An apology all around for that misstep and we may make mistakes in the future but hopefully all of that has been resolved.”
Check out the below high definition gameplay video. It is about 9 minutes long.

This game is almost dead now, I played for 9 months and its just rubbish, no content and everything goes on the C-Store.
Cryptic are terrible and stupid for taking on such a large project.
