The Matrix Online MMORPG Closing July 31, 2009: MxO Video & Screenshots

The Matrix Online has announced that it would be closing on July 31, 2009. The Matrix Online is a massively multiplayer online role playing game that has been running for 4 years capitalizing on the popularity of the Matrix Trilogy Movies since it’s beta test in June of 2004. The bullet-time combat, martial arts fighting, large gun battles, and high flying kung fu, were some of the most popular features in this Sony Only Entertainment and Monolith Productions MMORPG.

The Oracle, the Merovingian, and the Architect were regularly evolved in missions and special events and continued the life of these loveable characters. The MxO MMORPG allowed to you choose between three classes of Coder, Hacker, and Operative. You then choose to join one of three organizations in Zion, Machines, or Merovingian. As the Matrix Online MMORPG game wound down 9 servers were merged into 3. Commercial services will end on June, 1, 2009 (no customer support or billing) with the full shutdown will happen on July 31, 2009.

    i know this is like a huge ass old news to al the fans, but i live in this small ass town in canada on an island. and ive watched the matrix all four about 147 times eachs and i always wanted to get my hands on the mmorpg. but now that the staff said no more. im all like bummer. i just got a computer to run the game i alwways wanted. anywho sad sad day indeed.
