We wrote before about the Success of the Sims 3 iPhone App. Well the PC game isn’t doing too bad either. EA announced that The Sims 3 was it’s largest computer launch ever with over 1.4 million copies selling in the first week alone for PC and Mac.
Rod Humble head of EA Play said “The Sims 3 launch and the early sales indicate that we have another hit on our hands…The volume of items created with The Sims 3 and downloaded online is a testament to how passionate The Sims players are”.
I guess this proves that the Sims 3 Free Downloads that were leaked on the internet weeks before the launch did not hurt the title at all.

Wow that’s insane.
I used to play a bit of Sims 1, but after the first few hours, ended up just started killing off my guys -__-.
I guess it’s the sim city mentality in me.
Sims 3 looks really cool tho, this one guy I know is really obsessing about it. May have to check it out.
