I am a big fan of combat arms. it was really fun but havet o agree with the Lag issue. It really brings the game down. The whole concept is awsome. Hate that ya have to rent ya weapons but they at lest letting you buy more better perment weapons. Just looking for a game like CA that dosent LAG!

Well Combat Arms isnt on there Horrible Game play but good graphics Crossfire i say is the best one… you get to keep your guns but combat arms was very fun while it lasted… it was kinda hard but cool… Crossfire is more VS than combat arms combat arms has team co-op which i like but crossfire doesnt so i hope they think of something like that i mean it would be great counter strike yuck it sucks… graphics are like way baack its horrible yuck i cant even download because it sucks…

i for one say cs1.6 is the best fps game out the there even tho it is very old its one of the by far most popular and playable games ever made at least in my opinion. and halo3 is gay because you have to pay monthly costs just to play it and XBL has to be paid too. so it should be made down the list

I have to say halo 3 is the best for xbox360 but only in missions and halo 3 odst is best for forge since it has more stufz wich is k00l and i say crossfire for online fps games:)

Thank you for your comment. Excellent comparison. Yes Global Agenda and Huxley: the Dystopia are very close MMOFPS games. It really comes down to the dedication of the developers to continuously roll out new content and keep the players engaged.

If this were just a list of MMOFPS games, I would definitely say Global Agenda should make an appearance (it’s due for release in January or February, with a beta that’s been running off and on for a while now). I haven’t played enough of these games to know if it compares with the FPS’s (the ones that aren’t MMOs) on the list, but it seems pretty comparable to Huxley: The Dystopia, with a more deepseated class system.

Warrock sux big time…i used to play it but the lag and hackers r just too much to handle….i mean almost every player hacks out there and they even openly admit it for they know nothing will happen to them….even the so called “pro” players hack….

Thank you for your comment and your top 10 list. Unfortunately by looking just at numbers of players you may be focusing too much on games that just had a large advertising budget. Many of these are also on their way out.

I got this list at “internetgames about com”. Sometimes sites opinions are a bit of this mixed
mixed with a bit of that instead of accurate information.
Key is to get accurate viewcount of various multiplayer games hosting servers and the amount
of players playing.
A little bit more to it than opening All Seeing Eye one day and comparing it might be just
a generality of what was a hot game for a while then some moved onto other games.
Like if you go to IGN, Gamespot, Gamespy or even some Youtube reviews top lists vary and
with some sites that means by a huge margin.

OP7 is one of the best on there, I havnt tried Huxley, but it looks ill. The problem is that I moved to Thailand for work and its hard balls to find games that have servers up in south asia. When I got here I tried OP7…no luck I was still on an US server. I am lost, guess I will have to rty my hand in CS 1.6.
Anyhow the list looked rad, except for gears of war…that is a dodgy game.

personaly i dont concider combat arms or quake or any of them games mmofps, they are not mmo, you have server with up to a certain amount of players, like any online fps, a mmofps would be games like ww2 online or planet side. i also agree combat arms has alot of issues with nexxon and its player base, but it still should have made the list. i dont think the games not curretnly out should be on that list, games in deveopment (not counting beta) cant be called or rated in the best level, because without a wide varity of players theres nothing to base it off of. games that were contrey specific should have been dropped as well. one game i would have loved on the list was left4dead, not a fan of zombie games but the co-op on that game was just unbelievable.

Why isn’t CS 1.6 o n the list? I played most of the online junk shooters out there (Halo, Quake suck)… I’m playing battlefield 2 right now… But in Eastern Europe… by far the most played game in the last 5 years has been and still is CS 1.6 out of all shooters… and DOTA out of strategy games.

CS 1.6 is the best shooter available even if it’s very very old.. most people still play it.
