We saw before how negatively a 2/10 score on Metacritic for Darkfall Online hurt the reputation of the new massively multiplayer online role playing game. Not that the Aion Online Tower of Eternity MMORPG had anything to worry about with 400,000 pre-orders. But NCSoft must have breathed a sigh of relief after Eurogamer gave a 7/10 and RPG fan gave 9/10 for an average Metacritc score of 8/10.

Just picked up aion not to long ago and so far I am pretty impressed. The graphics and character creation are amazing. The UI is pretty close to WoW which is actually kind of nice since I use to play WoW. The community is great and did not have a problem helping out a newbie, I think I talked to a level 50 for half hour just asking basic questions of the game. However, I have yet to see an “instance” in the game. I don’t know if it is because of my level or if they are few and far in between. I don’t see aion being any sort of WoW killer but it is a fun game that’s definitly worth a try for anyone looking for a new MMO or a break from WoW. Hopefully this game gets to see a few expansions and some great new content
