Well it is finally here. After delaying Champions Online for 2 months and having quite a few problems in the Champions Online Open Beta, the hero massively multiplayer online role playing game has finally launched. Check out the many high definition gameplay videos below.
Atari Inc, and Cryptic Studios has launched the Champions Online MMORPG to North America today with Europe coming online on September 4, 2009. Already improvements are underway to correct some of the problems in the Open Beta. The higher levels are also being made more difficult after many complaints. AI animation delays have attempted to be corrected as well. Frame rate (lag) issues are also being addressed. The crafting interface has also received many complaints.

The online store is now also open. A free update Blood Moon is also under way. Unfortunately many of the beta testers are complaining that the previous fixes made the game worse. The update may rectify that but we will have to see.

After Making So Many Trailers They Didn’t Make a Launch Trailer?
We wrote before that Cryptic was wasting too much time making too many teaser and beta trailers. But we did not actually think they would completely forget to make a launch trailer. Come on Cryptic and Atari! No launch trailer?
