I have written before about the success of PlayStation Home. However, it was largely a financial success but the gameplay itself was somewhat limited with PlayStation Home players limited to socializing, customization, and a few mini-games. Well now Sony PlayStation Home will finally be getting some PvP combat with the Capcom promotions for Street Fighter IV and Resident Evil 5. PS3 Home avatars will be able to enter a Street Fighter match. Capcom will also launch a Resident Evil 5 area.

About Street Fighter IV:
Street Fighter 4 is produced by Capcom and should be released on February 12, 2009 in Japan and then 5 days later in the United States of America. StreetFighter IV will be available for the PS3, Xbox 360, and eventually for the PC. Street Fighter IV should be similar to previous installments but includes Focus Attacks which absorb contact and launch counter attacks. Another new feature is Ultra Combos (did anyone say Killer Instinct?).

About Resident Evil 5:
Resident Evil 5 should release on March 5, 2009 in Japan and 8 days later in the United States of America. It will be available for the Sony Playstation 3 and also for the Microsoft Xbox 360. This is the latest installment of the horror series with scary lighting and camera effects.
