“Because using 100 at a low level, the 10% bonus isn’t much. E.g If I used 100 at level 40 (1050 exp/zeal) I would get 105k exp + 10.5k bonus so I started using 100 at level 60 (3150 exp/zeal, 100 = 315k exp + 31.5k bonus)
Every 5 levels the exp increases e.g
60-64 = 3150 exp/zeal, 65-70 = 3675 exp/zeal.

Tip it now have a soul wars calculator. I found that if I used 100 zeals from 40 it would take 400 zeals. However what I done only used up ~350 zeals, saving 50.”
