I have written before about the free to play Runes of Magic. Although the viewer takes forever to download, Runes of Magic was still able to reach over one hundred thousand characters created on the first full open beta day of Runes of Magic on December 15, 2008. Almost two hundred and fifty thousand registrations have been created so far. Frogster Interactive is expected to only increase these numbers in early 2009 with continued promotion of their MMORPG.
