We recently wrote posts calling Stargate Worlds the biggest failure of an MMORPG in history and that it was a shame that Stargate Worlds was dead.
Well now a time has been set for the execution of this once promosing massively multiplayer online role playing game. A recent former employee of Cheyenne Mountain claims via MMORPG.com that MGM has given Firesky a deadline of August 1, 2009 to get enough funding or have their license pulled. The Firesky’s director of new business development Shane Hensley does not deny that the project might be canceled.

Here it is August 15, 2009, and the Stargate Worlds website hasn’t changed since around April. G4 put up on YouTube a video about the coming launch. What is going on? Have they pulled the plug or given them more time?
