We have written before about the Global Agenda MMOFPS. Global Agenda is a sci-fi first person shooter massively multiplayer online role playing game that is certainly the opposite of the fantasy and similar standard MMOs like World of Warcraft. They certainly know it and are pointing it out with the below high definition video which is part of their “No Elves” Campaign. It is pretty funny and shows a mage elf getting a headshot assasination from a Global Agenda agent.

Global Agenda is currently in alpha testing and had better enter beta testing soon. The Global Agenda site expects closed beta to start at the end of June with no indication of open Beta or launch other than hopefully by the end of 2009.

Oh awesome, didn’t know about this one.
The trailer was really cool, giant robots! The No Elves video was great too, so tired of fantasy games.
It’s good to see more Sci-Fi related MMO’s coming out now, it definintely seems like a lot of companies and developers have realized that they probably won’t be able to contend much with a fantasy MMO on the account of WoW, so they’ll shoot for Sci-Fi.
Makes me think that the next Blizzard MMO will probably be Sci-Fi then.

Thank you for your comment. Yes I agree it looks very cool and I also expect Blizzard to try and capitalize on the Sci-Fi momentum. This is an exciting time for MMORPG fans….
