The Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising massively multiplayer online role playing game has returned from the dead. The Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising MMORPG from Perpetual Entertainment and Sony Online Entertainment was put on a “perpetual hold” in October of 2007. The rights to the game have now been obtained by Heatwave Entertainment.
Heatwave chief executive officer Anthony Castoro said “What we’re going to do is spend the next couple months looking at the game, where it was back then and deciding what things can stay and what things might need to be updated. We might make some changes. Our goal is still to get it out…”.
The Gods and Heroes MMORPG is set in ancient Rome with many mythological creators such as the Minotaur, the Cyclops, Gods, Centaurs, etc. The game was never released after it’s closed beta in October 2006. Check out the below trailer for the original game. It is about 3 minutes long.
