We wrote earlier that the Jumpgate Evolution MMORPG still hadn’t announced a closed beta test date. That is still true but NetDevil and Codemasters also hass announced over 250,000 people have signed up in North America and Europ for the Jumpgate Evolution closed beta.
For some reason they are still claiming that the massively multiplayer online role playing game will still launch in 2009 but I am almost certain that the game will be delayed until 2010 given their progress, the economy, and the action of other publishers to delay their games.

They are already doing presales of the game from vendors with a Release Date of Sept 1 2009.
Maybe they were testing for interest with an early Beta promise to get financing.
