I was really disappointed by the delay of the LEGO Universe MMO. I am a huge fan of LEGO both the toys and the video games. The reason for the delay? The pieces do not quite fit together. No there is a conflict with the release of other titles. Project lead Mark Hansen said it was a strategic decision.

So we are talking a short delay right? WRONG. Hansen says that the LEGO Universe massively multiplayer online role playing game will not be released until AFTER 2009. LEGO Universe is developed by NetDevil. Color me disappointed.

LEGO Universe is attempting to tide everyone over with My LEGO Network. Read this March 2, 2009 release. This is the social networking solution for LEGO fans. It only serves to remind me about the delay of the MMO however.
