Check out this new video of the Sony Playstation 3 Home Beta. Version 1.0 of Playstation Home just released November 21, 2008 with a download from the PlayStation Store.

In this video we see an avatar customizing his Home furniture and and talking to other players in the game. After the very long loading screen (yes it takes a long time to log in about 1.5 minutes( I am immediately impressed with the lighting and shadow effects of Playstation Home.

Then a game of pool is racked up to show off the mini games available. An arcade game Carriage Return is another great example of the mini games in the system. Then we witness some cool virtual bowling.

The quality on the avatars from effects to facial features, to shadowing and textures is really amazing. The amount of customization is really good too. Check out the below video on avatar customization.

Sped Up Video of Playstation Home Beta Including Dance Party and Item Mall:

This looks so cool and vastly superior to anything out there. Also there are so many avatars all over the place and no server lag. The mall in particular looks really cool. Sony has a winner here.
