We have written many times about the Star Trek Online massively multiplayer online role playing game currently in Open Beta testing. Cryptic received such a response to the game that they deployed a Star Trek Online patch in the middle of the Open Beta.

There are certainly many things that need to be improved and Cryptic has announced that they are extending the Open Beta Test until January 26, 2010 at 6:00 pm Pacific Time. Now this is fine and dandy but why not extend it for a little while longer such as the 28th?

That launch date of February 2, 2010 is coming up a little bet too soon if you ask me.
