In August we wrote that the Delay of Starcraft 2 was a good thing. This was primarily so Battle.net could be upgraded since Starcraft 2 would no longer support lan play and well LAN parties suck.

But now I am not so sure. Blizzard has announced that Starcraft II will not launch until the second quarter of 2010. That is one heck of a delay. A beta launch date has not been announced and Diablo III was not included in a 2010 schedule according to Blizzard president Mike Morhaime. That is even worse news for Diablo III as it will have to contend with the very similar Torchlight RPG which has already launched.
