We wrote at the end of January that the Starcraft II beta was imminent. Blizard Entertainment has now announced that the Starcraft II closed beta will begin this month. The much anticipated StarCraft 2 will release by mid 2010.
The announcement came through the Activision Blizzard fourth quarter conference call in which Chief Executive Officer Mike Morhaime mentioned the global closed beta test will also be testing the mettle of the new Battle.net. Thousands will be invited into the beta test.
