Man, those graphics are really looking top notch. MMO’s are really reaching a really cool breaking point.
Basically, as I see it, the advantage that mmo’s had over console games is the size of how many people you are around and interacting with. However, console games were able to implement better AI and better graphics.
As you can see now, MMO’s have begun to be able to add destructable terrain, advance AI, really great graphics, and be able to render out thousands of players around each other.
I can’t wait to see this done in a big time Sci Fi mmo, which is probably why I’m really excited for The Old Republic.
We’ve seen thousands vs thousands, but soon I think we’ll be able to see tens of thousands

It is also really cool to think of console MMO players and pc MMO interacting with each other online on the same game. Someday….

I consider this game to be much more superior to Aion online (as these devs were part of the Lineage 2 core dev team).
