I'm not a newb, I've been usiing computers and writing programs for years. This stuff isn't new to me. And yet when it comes to Star Trek Online (STO):it's been epic fail. First it took me 4 attempts of downloading because it kept inexplicably stalling out. When I finally downloaded, it kept telling me problem with my account click "here". When I clicked "there", it opened up a cool looking Microsoft Word document which resembles a screen that allows me to eneter fields and either log in or create yet another account, but its just a Microsoft Word document and the fields are all dead. Oh yeah I forgot to mention the account information works perfeclty at the main STO site, it is just when I eneter it when prompted dueing the game load that my log in fails. So I found chat support but that just turned out to be billing support. I put in one tioket explaining my problem, and they replied, well I assume they replied. I can confirm this because when I tried to open my ticket, it is a dead link and nothing happens. I filed a second ticket explaining that I can't open their tickets, and request they use my email. They also replaied to that ticket, but since I cant open my tickets I can't tell what they said.... It probably says they can only reply by these tickets that don't work. Lastly I tried to re download STO and now this time when I click on download STO, and the only option I see and choose is STO, now it runs, butinstead of running the program I selected it's some sort of juvenile looking superhero game city of champions or whatever it was. Epic Fail. I give up, you win, I'll find another MMORPG to wadte my time and money on preferably one that actually works.

I recruited a friend to Star Trek Online and now Cryptic will not award me the benefits for recruiting. I and my friend both have explained the situation to Atari and Cryptic and they refuse to do anything. Read #6 on the warranty for Star Trek Online. In full disclosure my friend loaded the game normally and then tried to follow the link I sent. This is out of order and becasue of that disqualifies us for the awards of recruiting. Poor attitude of a business for its product.
