We have written before about the OnLive Game Streaming or Games on Demand Service before. Recently out of beta testing the service is scheduling a release date for June 17, 2010. The Online Gaming Service will be available for both PC and Mac (tv coming soon with additional micro-console) and start at $14.95 a month. It will be available in the United States and game purchase or rentals will have an additional fee. A demo is scheduled for E3 2010. After the launch support for 60 frames a second and 1080p will come online with bandwidth upgrades. For the first 25,000 people who register the first 3 months will be free. You can signup here
In order to qualify you have to be 18, in the 48 contiguous US states, have a valid VISA or Mastercard, and pass a performance test among other conditions.
The really cool thing is that you will be able to spy on or watch other players while they are playing with the service. Check out Video 3 below for that. Check out the below high definition videos with a demo of the OnLive service by CEO Steve Perlman at Columbia University.
