Spore will receive it’s first expansion in Spring 2009 possibly on March 17, 2009. The Electronic Arts, Inc game received unheard of anticipation but many reviewers thought the gameplay did not live up to expectations. In this new expansion called Spore: Galactic Adventures. EA and Maxis seem to have a few more Spore products planned.

Rumors indicate that this expansion will allow layers to beam down to planets from their spaceships and explore new worlds while completing missions. Also included should be the creation of custom missions. It looks like you can already pre-order it from Gamestop and Gamestop is showing a March 17, 2009 date and $29.99 price.
