We wrote before that Video Game sales were down during the recession. In August, Video Game sales were down 16%.

Thankfully (and perhaps because the United States Economy is coming out of the recession) video game sales broke their 6 month downturn and gained 5% in sales thanks largely in part to The Beatles: Rock Band, Madden NFL 10, Halo ODST, and Sony reducing the price of the Play Station 3 by $100. Total games sales equaled almost $650 million.
